Yes!

I won tickets to The Police! Saturday night shall be awesome. Sloan are opening so all is right with the world.

This morning I saw a guy get his head stuck in an elephants ass on Worlds Most Amazing Home Videos. They said it was a "horrific ordeal" but I thought it was a fucking riot

The toilets at work are continually flushing. I'm worries I'm going to get sucked in.

The Jays took 2 of 3 from the Yankees. Not too bad.

Wow

Fuck man, I gotta clean my place up....

BBB's Notebook: ECW 05/22/07

-Snitsky continues to mow through the competition. Poor Tommy is almost at jobber status.

-Thorn made short work of his jobber. Looks like a bit of a push is coming his way.

-Matt Striker and Bret Majors was a good little match. I don't know much about these Majors bros. Grizz?

-Cor Von's music doesn't suit him at all. Sounds like Was Not Was.....

-Main event was pretty good. Cool to see Punk and RVD team up. I still don't like Marcus Cor Von or Monty Brown or whatever the fuck his name is this week.

Quote of the Day

"Fuck around!" - Drew.

Whoo Hoo Fuckers!

So we went into the drive-through at McD's and after we ordered we decided we wanted Tacos instead. So when it was our turn to pick up our food, Chantal just drove right through with a huge grin on her face like she was Bonnie and Clyde and had just committed the fucking crime of the century.

Too funny.

What?

Something about Green Day singing "Working Class Hero" by John Lennon on American Idol is so unwholesome and wrong that I feel ill.

Green Day are the new U2, and I don't mean that in a good way.

BBB's Notebook: WWE Royal Rumble 1989

-I love the old school event openings. I haven't seen some of this shit in years.

-Live at The Summit in Houston Texas. Gorilla and Jesse the Body are your hosts.

-The Hacksaw Jim Duggan foam 2x4's were selling like hotcakes. Come to think of it, I think I had one........

-The opening 6 man of The Rogeaus and Dino Bravo vs. The Hart Foundation and Jim Duggan was a fun little match.

-Dibiase doesn't seem happy with the number he drew for the Rumble, but its "Good news for Bad News."

-The Warrior/Rude posedown is boring me.

-Rockin' Robin vs. Judy Martin sucked and Sherri was brutal on commentary.

-Loved the jobbers carrying King Haku to the ring.

-Ax and Smash drew #'s 1 and 2. Nice touch.

-"Rugged" Ronnie Garvin. There's a blast from the past.

-Outlaw Ron Bass. Awesome.

-Andre eliminates himself running from Damien. Crowd pops.

-Hogan eliminated Savage! The Mega-Powers explode!!

-The Red Rooster got zero pop. Poor Terry.

-Big Jon Studd wins the 1989 Royal Rumble. Not everyone has a price Mua ha ha haaa!

Notes

-Jordin Sparks did a good job of acting surprised when she won American Idol last night.

-Artie announced he is leaving the Stern Show in January. Robin was acting like a annoying cunt.

-I sat on my Judgement Day dvd and broke it. It had the best menu ever too....

-Tommorow is the Bad News Allen show in Cochrane and I am very excited.

Weird.

Some dude just came in to my store, used our bathroom and then asked how to get to Saskatoon.

Odd.

WrestleMania Box Set

So last night I finally finished the WrestleMaia box set. I took me almost a year and a half to finish it but it was a lot of fun. 3 will always be my favorite followed by X7, however WrestleMania XIX was a hidden gem. Lots of good stuff on that one as well.

Anyway, bring on the Royal Rumble!

Smashing Pumpkins - Tarantula

I made this because I'm awesome and I wanted folks to hear the new song and leave comments. You're welcome.

Excited

Dig it.

EDIT: I posted this right before I left for work this morning so I didn't have a chance to weigh in. This song make me all warm and it feels like home. The record has been pushed back to July 10.

BBB's Notebook: WrestleMania XX - Goldberg vs. Lesnar

I was worried WWE would clip all the goodness from this match on the box set but the greatness is there in its entirety.

All the good shit from the crowd, the reluctant lock up and everything in between.

Fucking sweet.

BBB's Notebook: ECW on Global 05/17/07

-I enjoy the recap of all the stuff on Raw that pertains to ECW because I don't always catch Raw. But why not do all that stuff on the ECW program?

-They are using the Smackdown entrance this week. I hope they haven't given up on that small ECW entrance. I liked it because it was small and somewhat of a throwback to the old ECW. Not it just looks like Smackdown lite.

-I assume there will be a newly edited opening video that is RVD and Sabu-free.

-RVD gets killed by Snitsky in what is appearing to be his last match with WWECW. Pretty fuckin' symbolic if you ask me....

-How many times is poor Stevie gonna job to Punk?

-What the fuck is with "Nunzio?" Why ditch Little Guido?

-Seriously, can The Condemned just die?

-Man, Bobby can cut a promo like nobodys business!!

-Lashley is powerful and amazing. Not even the strength of 3 men can stop his path of destruction!!

BBB's Notebook: TNA iMPACT! replay 05/18/07

-The recap of the Sacrifice main event sure made it look good. The finish looked interesting as well.

-"TNA World Heavyweight Champion." That will take a little getting used to.

-Nice Paul Harvey referance by Tenay. Problem is, not many wrestling fans know who the fuck Paul Harvey is.

-I love Jim Cornette.

-Oh god, 5 qualifying matches for a King of the Mountain at Slammiversary. Why the fuck can't TNA do something simply...

-Jerry Lynn and Tiger Mask vs. Sabin and Shelley was good but short.

-Haven't seen Raven in action for a while. He's getting chunky.

-Eric Young is over. They did a good job on that one.

-The new TNA mascot Stomper?

-Rhino and Angle was nothing special.

-Oh yay! Rick Steiner is back.

Friday

Yesterday was a pretty fun day for me. Met Chantal and Laura downtown for lunch and decided to hang around downtown untill Chantal got off work.

I caught a matinee of "Hot Fuzz." It was good, not what I expected but I enjoyed it. I'll give the dvd another spin.

After the movie I sat at the bar at the Elephant and Castle and had a few beers while I waited for Chantal. She joined me and had a Baileys and coffee before we headed to dinner.

For dinner we headed to Jungle Jims on Bourbon Street at the mall. It was a cool little restaurant. Fun decor and the food was good and inexpensive.

After dinner we headed to the Comic Strip to catch Tony Rock. We didn't know he was playing when we decided to go so it was a special bonus. The first comic was awful, however the 2nd was very funny.

Tony Rock killed. He is the brother of Chris Rock so I was a little concerned about a lot of name dropping and the suck but he never mentioned his brother once and was hilarious.

After the comedy Chantal decided to surprise me with a nightcap and Saint Petes. We had a couple of drinks and caught 3 of the girls, it was pretty fun to go there with her.

Once we got back to her house, we.... Well, that's none of your damn business.

Anyway, it was an awesome day.

Chicken for Lunch

I was told it's the greatest place ever so I hauled my ass all the way downtown for lunch with Chantal.

It was ok, certainly nothing to write home about. Perhaps my pallette is unrefined.

Did I spell pallette right?

Dammit!

Sabu showed up at the Smackdown/ECW taping tonight several hours late and without his ring gear. He was then told to go home and immediately released. Sabu was originally scheduled to face Kevin Thorn on ECW On Sci-Fi tonight and plans had to be changed after he was sent home. The latest word is that after finding out that he was scheduled to lose to Thorn, he claimed he had a neck injury.

Some believe that Sabu showed up to the taping late on purpose, knowing he would be sent home, because he has not been happy with how he is being used. This is apparently not the first time he has shown up late and/or without his gear recently.

And...

Rob Van Dam's match with Snitsky on Tuesday could have very well been his last match ever in WWE. Wade Keller of the Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that RVD is officially done with World Wrestling Entertainment as of last Wednesday.

WWE felt that keeping RVD around and burying him on TV was not worth it and it was better to get him off TV as soon as possible. His contract wasn't going to expire until late June at the earliest, but WWE officials cut that short because RVD said he would not re-sign with them and they had nothing for him until then. Despite the early release, RVD has a no-compete clause, and thus he can't show up in TNA next week for instance.

He is expected to sign with TNA after a long deserved summer break. If and when he joins TNA, it will probably be in September at the earliest. TNA is trying to land a two hour slot for the fall season on Spike, so if they end up getting it, they'll probably hold him off for the two hour show's debut.

Fuck. I am very excited for the taping here in July because I wanted to see the originals.... And now my 2 favorites are gone. I can't say I'm surprised, It's shocking Sabu lasted this long. Oh well, hopefully Sandman and Tommy will make it to July. ( and Punk!)

Just Your Average Wednesday

-This morning was the Andy Dick roast on the Howard Stern show. Like all the roasts it was awesome with a few notable exceptions. Colin Quinn, who killed on the Artie Roast was disappointing and Benjy sucked as would be expected.

-Jerry Fallwell died. I hope he fucking rots. He was everything that's wrong with everything, with quotes such as:

And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, "You helped this happen."-- Rev Jerry Falwell, blaming civil libertarians, feminists, homosexuals, and abortion rights supporters for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, quoted from John F Harris, "God Gave US 'What We Deserve,' Falwell Says," The Washington Post (September 14, 2001)

I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!-- Rev Jerry Falwell, America Can Be Saved, 1979 pp. 52-53, from Albert J Menendez and Edd Doerr, The Great Quotations on Religious Freedom

If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being.-- Rev Jerry Falwell (attributed: source unknown)

-How do you enjoy the whipped topping on the top of an Iced Capp? You can't suck it through the straw...

-I'm trying to track down Bad Religions "Into the Unknown." No torrents anywhere that have yielded anything so far. Anyone?

"Today is Asian box day!" - Chantal.

BBB's Notebook: TNA iMPACT! 05/10/07

-Homicide/DVon/Scott Steiner wasn't a bad match, there just wasn't much to make me care about it.

-Christy Hemme makes me hate wrestling.

-The Bashams attack!! Basham and Damager? Damaja? What's the deal?

-The Jarrett recap video was well done. They're doing a good job of hyping the ppv.

-I hate the Backlund deal.

-"No time for Sonjay..." Nice.

-Shelly/Sabin vs. Lethal/Dutt was good.

-The 3 way split screen interview was a little chaotic. I think it was by design but it still sucked.

-The main event 6 man was a lot of fun but the finish was cheap.

-Christian is a brilliant smug heel.

Grrr

Why do they make it so hard to open the packaging on kids toys!?! By time I get it open I'm ready to fucking puke blood...

New Shit

I got offered a new position at work as the Media supervisor. Media is responsible for gaming, software, cd's and dvd's, phones and stuff like that. It's pretty scary as I've never run a sales department but it's pretty exciting. We'll see how it all works out.

I got a new blackberry which I am also excited about. I've wanted one of the new ones for a while and it basically just fell into my lap and it will cost me basically nothing when it's all said and done so that's pretty cool.

I feel like I'm gaining weight and I was worried that it was due to my addiction tot he Rockstar energy drink but Dustin said that isn't the case. I trust his diagnosis because it means I can keep drinking them.

Check out 3BTV, the video blog because there is a ton of cool shit on there.

Life and other such pleasantries....

I've sort-of been challenged to write some intricate details about my life... I don't really know what to put down. My life is pretty routine, get up, go to work, spend time with the family and try and squeeze in some sleep.

-I'm very excited about the weekend shows on the 25th and 26th. It's an honor to be on a show with that pool of talent and an even bigger honor to get to work with Abdullah the Butcher. A frightening honor.

-Roger Clemens gan go fuck his hat, he's really milking this retirement thing and I think he's a douchebag as is Barry Bonds. He can celebrate that record all he wants but he's a fucking juiced up pig and can also commence in the hat-fucking.

-Word is that RVD may be done with WWE after the One Night Stand show next month. I think when push comes to shove he will re-sign although RVD in TNA could be interesting.

-Trying to win Police tickets from work, crossing fingers.

-Another rousing T-ball game last night, anyone know who won?

-"Time of your life" by Green Day is a piece of shit, I don't care what anyone says.

-Word 'round the grapevine is that Spider-Man 3 is a huge let down. I'm sure I'll see it one day.

-Looking forward to checking out The Tears and Brett Andersons solo album.

-1 month 28 days 13 hours and 33 minutes until Zeitgeist. Please James, rejoin the band!

-Looking forward to the Office tommorow night, too bad I have to close.

This wasn't very intricate, I don't really get struck to write stuff often. I have a million opinions but they all fly out of my head when I sit down in front of a keyboard.

GFA

I'm holding a copy of the M*A*S*H Goodbye Farewell and Amen dvd and I am giddy with delight.

Unfortunatly, fucking thing isn't released for 2 weeks.

Damn

I have to work so no Everclear gig for me....

BBB's Notebook: WWE Backlash 2007

-Lance "don't call me Garrison" Cade is deceptively big and solid.

-Trevor Murdoch's Canadian Destroyer was not pretty.

-Melina and Mickie James was pretty good. Melina is improving nicely.

-Fuck I'm tired of hearing about The Condemned.

-Benoit and MVP was very good. I don't catch Smackdown very often so I don't see MVP all that often but he looked good on this night.

-Not even Bobby Lashley himself could withstand the McMahon onslaught. The mark in me died a little inside. Joey and Tazz did a really good job of selling Vince's win.

-Taker and Batista was plodding and deliberate and told the story well albeit a tad overbooked. The little explosion on the finish was TNA-like lame.

-Is it me or does Edge have a new tattoo ever week?

-Cena/Orton/Edge/Michaels was very very good. The finish was fucking brilliant.

Calgary

Went to Calgary Saturday night to see my sisters new baby, had a blast. Saturday my mom made ribs, we watched TNA and then Merv and I played some old school Sega Genesis. I beat him at baseballa nd we split 2 games of hockey.

Sunday we just kinda hung out and took the kids to Bowness Park to let them run off some energy. Then it was a turkey dinner and we headed home in time to catch the Amazing race finale and the SNL in the 90's show (which was awesome.) I was really surprised how many of the sketches that I remembered but we used to never miss it.

Oh That Warrior....

Warrior Warrior got into an incident with the Iron Sheik on Sunday at a sports convention in Edison, NJ. Both men were there signing autographs. When Warrior saw Sheik, he demanded that Sheik leave, saying that Sheik had talked badly about him in the past. Sheik got upset and acted as if he was going to go after Warrior, but Warrior called security and the situation was resolved.

Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino were both also at the convention signing autographs. Warrior did not interact with Hogan, but did greet Sammartino. Credit: PWInsider.com

Please god, tell me there is footage of this... That guy is fuckin' nuts.

Hey Shigs!

That Pumpkins DVD had a bit of stuff I didn't have already. I really need to sift through it and take what I want.

Picked up the Tom Green Show box set at work yesterday. $22 bucks with the discount. can't go wrong. Should be fun.

How are the Jays doing?
