Sprained MCL sidelines Iginla

Sportsnet.ca -- In the end, standing up for a teammate cost the Calgary Flames as captain Jarome Iginla is out for at least one week with a sprained MCL.

Iginla, who left Thursday night's win over Florida after a fight with Bryan Allen, learned the news Friday morning in Calgary. He will be re-evaluated in a week, and no timetable on a possible return is known.
The injury is reportedly not connected to the fight, but rather a hit along the boards by Allen just prior to dropping the gloves. Iginla and Allen squared off as a result of Allen's hit on Chuck Kobasew in the first period, which knocked the Flames' player from the game.

I don't know how long it takes to return from an injury like this but let's hope the boys can rally around this and pick up the slack. Onwards and upwards!!

Well when I sprained my MCL I went to work the next day so I don't know what bobble head Iginla is whining about. Suck it up Princess!

haha...I don't even know what a MCL is. But he better hope they don't play against the good ol' Toronto Player Alex Steen who will wipe the ice with him.
