After a friend asked him how long it took to drive home to Japan, the webmaster at this site, who was living in Texas at the time, decided to create a map based on peoples distorted conception of world geography. See the map evolve from the days when Texas and Japan were connected by land to the conversion of the American Southeast into Disneyland, the emergence of the lost island of Atlantis, and the eventual placement of Poland up near the North Pole.
