This is of course, their Star Wars remake. It was pretty good but shorter then I thought it would be. My only complaint was that some of the jokes were a little "hackey."

Calgary Flames agree to terms with veteran goaltender Curtis Joseph
CALGARY - Curtis Joseph is headed back to the NHL.The 40-year-old goaltender agreed to terms on a US$1.5-million, one-year contract with the Calgary Flames on Monday, a source told The Canadian Press.
Since a little more than half of the season is already gone, he'll earn about $650,000 for the rest of the year.
A Flames spokesman would not confirm the signing Monday and said the team had no announcement at this point.
Joseph, who led Canada to a Spengler Cup title late last month, is one NHL victory shy of tying Terry Sawchuk for fourth all-time on the goalie career win list at 447.
Joseph went 18-31-2 with a 3.19 goals-against average and .893 save percentage with the Phoenix Coyotes last season.
He's 446-341-95 in 913 NHL regular-season games with St. Louis, Edmonton, Toronto, Detroit and Phoenix.
The Flames need to give star No. 1 goalie Miikka Kiprusoff a breather once in a while in the second half of the season. He's started in 45 of 46 games while rookie Curtis McElhinney has started just once.
The New York Rangers were also believed to be in the running for Joseph's services before he ultimately decided to join with the Flames.
Stuff and Shit....
We decided to take the kids to Calgary for the weekend to see grandma and grandpa. I felt like shit and still do but we had fun. Did a little shopping and my mom made lasagne which was awesome and then later Saturday we got Gondola Pizza. It was "The Boss" pizza and it was killer. Anyway, we had fun.
Last night we hit The Keg for supper which was also awesome. (I talk about food a lot....)
In 2 weeks we were thinking of taking the kids to Jasper but we can't seem to find a hotel room. If anyone has connections or knows a way we can get a hotel room please let me know.
The Flames are on a bit of a skid and dropped one to the Oilers last night which I'm sure I will hear all about when I get to work.
We watched the Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling last night which was as depressing as I expected. It must be hard for Kevin to recount all that stuff but he got through it like a trooper. I've heard if you watch the shoot interviews of a lot of the guys that were around back then you hear a lot more about the dark side of that promotion then you will oviously hear about in a WWE-made documentary. And there was quite a dark side if there is any truth behind some of the things I have read.
I also bought the 2nd volume of JCW Slam TV. They certainly shelled out some cash to bring in a lot of big names for the shows on this go 'round. Jimmy Jacobs vs. Ultimo should be good. Still waiting for the WSX dvd's to turn up around here somewhere.

Stuff
I watched disc 3 of the Best of Raw XV tonight and when I came across the segment where Eugene has a group play musical chairs for a title shot, I realized that I'm sure back in '03 I hated it but it was damn funny now.
But on to other business, I think the temporary home for the potential internet TV show will be over on my video blog (http:..3btv.blogspot.com). Right now it is the home of videos I hae put up on Dailymotion, stuff I find interesting such as wrestling, music and overall zaniness.
Also, I have decided that the show will feature an advice segment..... A segment entitled "Ho Ass Help." So kids, sharpen your pencils and send any questions to "Dr. Ho" to bbboris@shaw.ca.

BBB's Notebook: Best of RAW 15th Anniversary Disc 1
-Taking the ring up that elevator for the first Raw in the Manhattan center must have SUCKED!!
-Holy, Vince's commentary is pretty over the top on Hennig vs. Flair.
-The little "pop up video" facts are a nice addition.
-Ah, the birth of the 1-2-3 Kid....
-Oh! My favorite tape/dvd game, Spot Fonzie!!! Ref for Jannetty/Michaels.
-Shawn and Marty put on a hell of a match, didn't care for the finish though.
-Savage is hilariously brutal on commentary.
-Bret and Waltmans match was pretty great as well.
-Lawler and William Shatner was well done.
-Nice little tribute to Owen.
-Goldust giving Ahmed Johnson mouth to mouth was a tad disturbing....
-Ah the Pillman gun angle. The classics never die.

So I always joke around with coworkers that my potential is being wasted doing what I do for a living.
So in discussing this I have decided to take matters into my own hands and myself and some other interested parties are going to start an internet TV show. Short "webisodes" full of stuff that makes us laugh. And if it makes us laugh maybe it will make you laugh as well.
Nothing fancy, just low-fi entertainment in a bite sized package.
I have no timeline for when we will start, but hopefully you will see something sooner then later.

BBB's Notebook: The Hardcore Diaries by Mick Foley
Well, I'm sure I am in the minority, but on the whole I don't think this was a very good book.Its not totally without merit, the story of the buildup to One Night Stand was quite enthralling, and to be honest it was the only part of the book that wasn't throw-away to me.
A lot of it seemed very self-serving and tried too hard to be humorous.
The amount of name dropping was staggering and there was a definite political agenda as well that I could have done without.
Maybe I look for something different in a "wrestling book." What it can teach me, what I can learn about the business and what I can learn about certain performers but I don't think I really learned anything, but perhaps that wasn't the point.
I do however enjoy the recounting of certain events that I can go back and watch tapes and dvd's of and see it from a different perspective.
I guess I just didn't get what I was looking for out of this one.

I haven't watched ECW since about September so I have no idea what's cookin'. Here we go.......-Morrison and The Miz are tag champs? Fuck I am out of it...
-Shannon Moore looks relatively normal.... Is he on Smackdown now?
-Yang is underrated.
-Wow, Yang and Moore vs. Morrison and Miz was really good.
-Benjamin destroyed that jobber.... What's his deal, the gold standard? Is he on ECW full time now?
-Kofi Kingston.... Interesting.
-Victoria is with Kenny Dykstra? I don't like all these SD guys on ECW. Its stripping the show of its identity.
-Nunzio the elf.......?
-Dykstra's leap to the top was impressive, but its the only part of the match I will remember.
-Punk vs. MVP was good, didn't like the dq finish but it made sense considering the circumstance.
-A Punk/Chavo feud could produce some quality matched.
The show was good but the "Smackdown Talent Exchange" kind of dilutes the feel and identity of the show.

We watched disc 1 of Robot Chicken season 2 and its fucking hilarious. The Gene Simmons book looks really interesting and I can't wait to dig in to Brets. I have way too many books on the go, I am reading Foleys latest (I am not impressed) and then there Mondo Lucha and the Stampede one and then all the new stuff.
Chantal is playing Raymans Raving Rabbits, its fun watching her play video games, especially Guitar Hero.

Christmas was really sweet this year, I must have been a good boy because I got spoiled.
The big gift from my lady love was a new drum kit which absolutly blew my mind. They won't be in until late January but I have a picture and a list of the specs and it's so fucking cool. With the fancy schmancy new scanner maybe I will scan the photo and put it up here.
The second big gift from Chantal was a beautiful leather jacket, I totally love it.

Christmas and Shit....
Where to begin. It is December 24th, work has been havoc for weeks. I am fucking exhausted and crabby and have to be there at 1 AM on boxing day. Oh well, it pays the bills.
Chantal is pretty sick right now, she caught a stomach bug or something and that combined with the pregnancy she is in rough shape. I feel guilty because with all the work stress I guess I'm not as empathetic as I should be. I am really sorry about that.
Jonnys Christmas concert was last week, it was pretty fun to watch as that stuff usually is. We couldn't make it to Bradens which is something else I really feel bad about.
Flames have lost 2 in a row but they were both OT losses so I think they have points in the last 9 or 10 games which is pretty sweet.
Going to try and get some time to watch last weeks ECW as I heard there was a solid tag match and I haven't seen the show since around September.
The Dolphins won, miracle of all miracles.
Anyway, have a good Xmas everyone, I hope Santa brings you all something nice.

And the Band Played on...
Had the kids this weekend and it was Jonny Birthday Party and this year we went bowling. It was pretty fun, a little nerve-wracking at times when there are that many screaming kids around but it was a success. (I felt a little awkward after I was rold by Chantal that I was the only adult that was bowling but oh well....)

I don't watch Raw all that much anymore but I've heard a lot about this here and there and am quite interested in it so here we go......
-I dug the old Raw openings, brought back memories.
-I see this Hornswoggle nonsense is continuing.
-Wow, Sunny tightened up a lot. Nice job.
-"Moolahs Funeral" Tasteless? Or a tribute?
-Muckah Singh!!! Best RAW ever!!!
-Well, the opening segment was interestong to say the least.
-Ladder match was decent, pretty weak spot to finish it.
-The Raw flashbacks were pretty cool.
-RVD?? Nice!!! Wow, that's a squash.
-Fuck, seems like a lot of commercials.
-They really fucked the Evolution segment.
-Molly's looking good as well.
-They dropped the ball on Hogans music.
-The Hogan segment was lame.
-That bedpan to the head still makes me giggle.
-The Fink!!! I love Finkel.

Its Monday......
Life rolls on.... Friday night Chantal took me for dinner in Chinatown at Pagolac (I hope I spelled that right.) It was awesome. Best spring rolls I have ever had.
Saturday night we watched Benny and Mels baby Quinn. He is cute as fuck and he really seems to like me as he stops crying whenever I show up. Made me really look forward to our upcoming bundle of joy.
This weekend was nuts at work, the store is shredded but we moved a ton of product and I have some fantastic people working under me. Can't say enough good things about them.
Flames won last night, let's put a streak together boys.
We had a good time in Calgary last weekend but unfortunatly I got a call yesterday from my mom saying that Merv fell on his wrist and messed it up pretty badly. Get well soon Mervy!!

BBB's Notebook: NWF Blood Wars
This is an old tape I picked up along the way somewhere, its dated 1992 but it drips 80's.
Its kinda documentry style and it focuses for the most part around DC Drake and his heel turn and feud with Jules Strongbow and others. Its so terrible its awesome.
There are clips of Abby and Brody intermixed, if the whole feature was about them it would have been killer.

Fuck I love the WWE documentry style dvd's. They take their stories, which are already filled with emotion and drama and every emotion under the sun, and inject just that much more emotion to make the stuff of legend.
This case I'm sure it was almost too easy for WWE to do this I'm sure, as the story of Shawn Michaels is quite well known.
This dvd covers it all, mid-south, the AWA and the rollercoaster of WWE. Shawns drug use is frankly discussed, Montreal is gone through (again.....) And every other topic.
I thought they handled his discovery of religion very well, as its a touchy subject and it could have become quite preachy.
I haven't watched the extras yet and I probably won't because I don't have the time (although apparently there are several matches never available on dvd before)

Bash at the Beach
Eric Bischoffs book inspired me to watch Bash at the Beach 2000 again, featuring the now-famous Vince Russo shoot on Hogan.
Fuck, what a terrible show. Vampiro and the Demon in a graveyard match? Miss Hancock and Daphne? Buff? Goldber? Terrible.
The Russo episode still holds up though. I remember watching it live and being pretty shocked and that feeling came back again. One of the more infamous moments in wrestling history.

Had a good time in Calgary, the christening was good (I think) and it was good to see all the family even though having ALL the kids together can be a little trying.
I did however have an awesome supper Saturday, my mom pulled out all the stops with turkey, stuffing, cabbage rolls, the works. It was awesome.

WrestleChristen Continues.....
Just getting ready to go to the Christening, PWA on Friday was a pretty solid show with a lot of goings on including:
-The return of Brady Roberts.
-Dusty Adonis came up short in a loser leaves PWA match against Scotty Putty. Dusty is one of the most talented and entertaining guys we have had in PWA in quite some time, he will be missed.
-Drew Dalby fired Lucas Drago from Team Esteem after Drago inadvertantly cost his team to lose to Punishment and Strife.
-Dalby the subsequently had his head shaved by Brutus the Barber Beefcake, much to the delight of Mr. Drago.
-In the main event, Marky Mark, Phoenix Taylor and Michael Avery took it to the limit in a TLC match for the Mayhem Title. The dvd of this will be a must see as these 3 athletes risked life abnd limb and pulled out all the stops to win the strap, the untimate victor being Phoenix Taylor. It was pretty incredible.

BBB's Notebook: Controversy Creates Cash by Eric Bischoff and Jeremy Roberts
I have no idea why but I loved this book. Almost as good as the Dynamite Kids book but not nearly as depressing.
Its in Bischoffs own words so there is a lot of revisionist history but its still a great read I highly recommend.
He doesn't pull punches and gave a lot more credit to others then I thought. He also had some surprisingly harsh words for folks like Bill Watts and Sean Waltman and others.
Bischoff had an interesting take on the demise of WCW as well as why the purchase by himself and Fusient Media Ventures.
Anyhow, I recommend checking it out.
Up next I will be reading Foleys latest book and then I purchased Pain and Passion (The history of Stampede Wrestling) and I'll be reading that.
I have a bunch of new Dragon Gate on the way that I'm pretty pumped about.

BBB's Notebook: TNA iMPACT! Thanksgiving Edition
-I haven't watched TNA in a long time so here goes.
-The opening video was killer, the Angle dinner scene was horrible.
-The TNA Turkey Bowel? I see TNA hasn't stopped making their tournament-style ideas mega confusing.
-I don't like Sabins new gear.
-Who the fuck is relic? And he sucks for ripping off Mutas mask.
-When did Scott Hall get so tight with Psychopathic Records?
-Oilers are losing, junk. (Changed the channel during a commercial.
-I see Traci Brooks still has huge boobs.
-The Angle family dinner reeks of the old Smackdown Thanksgiving dinner segments they has when SD was on Thursday nights. (Eric Young at the kids table was funny though.) The food-fight is inevitable.
-Havoc is back as Jonny Devine and I see they aren't too concerned with covering his stabbing scar anymore.
-Velvet Sky? Angelina Love? They all sound like porn stars.....
-Why does ODB keep smacking herself in the tits?

The Best Radio On Radio....
The new Sirius Radios came in today and they are cool-ass!! They have the same LCD screen as the Stilettos, I want one!!
Of course, if I got one I would have to get a new boombox as well, being the new radios aren't compatible with the old boomboxes.
The backlight is starting to go on my Sportster so now is as good a time as any I guess......

BBB's Notebook: The History of TNA Year 1
While it's not up to the standards of the WWE documentry-style dvd, it was quite enjoyable.I thought they could have gone into more details of the planning phase of the company but with only an hour and change of time to use, what can you do. They did spend a lot of time discussing the first show and the problems that came up including "Cheex" breaking the ring minutes before they went live.
I thought Dixie Carter and Panda Energy came along much after year one but apparently it was quite early in the existence of TNA. I also found it quite interesting that although they showed a couple of clips of him, they didn't discuss Vince Russo at all, and also very little discussion of Jerry Jarrett.

A sudden outburst of generosity has befallen my girlfriend which is pretty sweet for me.
Last night she picked me up the new Nine Inch Nails cd, the TNA Year One dvd (which I am sitting down to watch right now) and the Bob and Doug McKenzie Two-Four Anniversary dvd.
Finally watched Transformers yesterday, it was pretty amazing.

Big Brother 9 won’t have America’s Player but “will be different from any other” season
The upcoming winter season of Big Brother 9 will not contain last summer’s twist America’s Player, which allowed the producers to control the game and act arbitrarily while generating revenue from text message votes.
“That’s really hard to do twice. Anyone coming to be a part of ‘Big Brother’ this year would know about it and we’d hate to have people act differently because they think that the viewers are in control. … That doesn’t mean that it couldn’t return in some other way, but doing exactly what we did again, no,” executive producer Allison Grodner told the New York Daily News.
However, she says viewers should expect something different. “We really want it to stand out. We want it to be special, because we’ve never done something like this before. I promise you it will be different from any other ‘Big Brother’ you’ve ever seen.” Hey, maybe you could not manipulate the outcome to fit your narrative?
Casting for the new season starts this weekend, but Grodner says that the debut date is uncertain. “We have been told by CBS to get ready for anything, so there’s nothing that is certain at this point. It is a wait-and-see. We are preparing for anything,” she said.

Busy days as is becoming the usual....
Worked 2 overnights this week which was great to get a lot of shit done but really fucked with my system. I need to start taking some vitamins or something because I'm always so tired.
We went shopping at the mall where Chantals office is and because she is too nice to me she picked me up some dvd's. She got me the new John Cena set, I know I know.... Its John Cena but over the last year or so he's been the go to guy and has been putting on some hot matches. And being that I haven't been able to watch too much wrestling lately I hope I can see some of the stuff I missed.
She also got me the re-release of XPW's Baptized in Blood 1 and 2. I think its kinda hilarious that XPW is re-releasing all this stuff. Some of it is brutal but its not all totally without merit. I also picked up XPW TV season 1. I remember watching XPW tv on America One online many years ago so this will be a trip down memory lane, for better of worse.
Saturday I went to Amber and Richards to watch UFC 78 and boy did it suck. I haven't really followed MMA for many years and I know its changed a lot but this show blew.
We had the kids this weekend which is always good even though they make us nuts sometimes.
Last night was the annual Best Buy Christmas Party at Kelsys. I don't really like the way we do our party but BB have a deal with Kelsys and they like to pretty much suck the fun out of everything we do. We still had fun though and I won a copy of Mad TV season one which was cool. I've wanted to pick up the early Mad TV stuff to see Artie.
I goofed around with the camera and took some pictures on the way home from the party that I will post later.

CBS holding 15 Big Brother 9 casting calls over the next three weeks
With Big Brother 9 set to debut in the early part of 2008, CBS is launching a series of 15 open casting calls for cast members.
The casting notices specifically mention the ninth season, and thus the possiblity that the show could feature celebrities seems to be less likely now—unless the house will be stocked with both real people and whatever D-list celebrities would subject themselves to the expereince
In a casting notice specifically for Sunday’s open call in New York, producers say they want “attractive males and females ages 21 to 60, must be fun and outgoing and energetic. ‘characters’ a must, and NY accents are a plus !” Capitalization and proper sentence punctuation is apparently unnecessary.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was quite the chick flick but it wasn't totally without merit. After that, my pick was High Fidelity, one of my favorite movies. Chantal seemed to enjoy it too.

Movie Day
Today is the second annual movie day, Where Chantal and I hang out in our pajamas and take turns picking movies the other hasn't seen.
I went first and chose Clerks because she hasn't seen it and everyone should see Clerks. She didn't care for it much, what can I say... You can't teach good taste :-).
Her first pick was Blue Crush, a chick-surfer movie. It was ok, some of the visuals looked really incredible. Hawaii looks like an amazing place. All the chicks in the flick had small boobs which was a tad of a bummer.....
My next choice was Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny. I love that movie, but Chantal didn't care for it again, but said it was better then Clerks.
The Stamps play the Riders this afternoon, hopefully I will be able to catch a little bit of it later.

Big Brother could return in late January
Earlier this week came word that CBS could bring Big Brother back early, perhaps in March, due to the strike. Now, word comes that CBS is getting ready to air Big Brother 9 even earlier, in late January or February.CBS “quietly began casting for the next edition of the show a few weeks ago,” Variety reports. And “[executive] producer Allison Grodner is also said to be working on a new creative twist … There’s been buzz that the next edition of ‘Big Brother’ might actually use celebrities as opposed to civilians. A long strike might work in favor of such a plan, since some celebs normally busy working on sitcoms and dramas might have some time on their hands.”
But Big Brother 9 may even earlier than February. “CBS is quietly ramping up production on a ninth cycle of the reality show to begin airing in late January or early February if the strike persists well into the holidays,” Entertainment Weekly reports. Citing a “reliable source,” the magazine says “executive producer Allison Grodner is already hiring production staff.” If this happens, EW says, “it is unlikely to affect the regular summer run of the show.”
On the Early Show, “Hanna Storm joked that the show might be back sooner than the summer, prompting a roll of the eyes from Chen. Chen then expressed her hope that the strike is settled soon,” Variety reports.

WGA Strike Fallout
From Aintitcool.com:“The Office” showrunner Greg Daniels is picketing his own Van Nuys set. Cast members – including Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski as well as WGA members Steve Carell, B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling and Paul Leiberstein – are not crossing the picket line.
Losing its cast shuts down NBC’s highest-rated sitcom a lot faster than a lot of other series, which are trying to put into production the last few scripts written before the strike.

Fabulous Moolah passes away
WWE is saddened by the passing of Lillian Ellison, who was known to sports-entertainment fans as Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah. She passed away last night in Columbia, S.C.In the world of women’s wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. The writers guild have gone on strike..... Those kind folks who write a lot of those TV shows we enjoy are walking the picket line.

The writers' strike would take an immediate toll on television viewers' favorite programs, dealing a setback to shows that are written day-to-day -- such as Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" -- as well as scripted programming already underway or about to go into production.
Soap operas would theoretically start disappearing from the airwaves soon, since most have episodes to last them only until the end of the year. But during the 1988 strike, producers wrote in place of striking writers, and soaps stayed on the air.
Prime-time scripted series have episodes through mid-January or early February, depending on how many reruns they space out in the next few months. Unscripted shows -- such as "Survivor," "The Amazing Race," and, when it returns in January, "American Idol" -- would continue uninterrupted.
I am quite sure we will see and onslaught of brutal reality tv shows depending how long this lasts. There is already talk of moving up the next Big Brother to March and have it be a celebrity edition.
One of the most visible effects of the film and TV writers’ strike may involve CBS’ summer reality staple, Big Brother.
The series “could easily return as soon as March,” Variety reports. Every other season of the show has aired in the summer, debuting in July and concluding about three months later.
Even more surprisingly, Big Brother 9 may be “a long-rumored celebrity edition.” Almost two years ago, TMZ incorrectly reported that CBS was announcing a celebrity edition of the show.
Exactly which celebrities would subject themselves to Allison Gordner’s self-serving whims.

It's been a fuck of a week, I don't even know where to begin. Last Sunday we got some pretty shitty news, I'd rather not discuss it here, if you wanna know just ask me.
We've dealt with that all week and it has sucked but today was Bradens birthday party which was pretty fun. Lots of friends and food, now he and Jon are playing Star Wars Lego and I am trying to unwind......

Stuff and the Such....
So busy I don't have time to write about the past weekend until the following week is almost over.
Friday was PWA Invasion in Calgary. We headed out with the ring early in the morning and got set up in Ogden and then just hung out until show time.
The show was stellar, as I thought it would be. The Battle Royal was good, Avery and Phoenix were very good and Joe and Styles was amazing. Poffo was interesting but I will keep my opinion to myself.
The ride home was interesting to say the least. What About Ivan was behind the wheel doing 160 in the rain with one hand changing cd's. I don't want to die directly behind Slammer..... And the fucker didn't play one complete song the whole way. It was 20 seconds of every song from about 7 or 8 discs. Bizarre, but he is a good man.
Got in about 2 I think and slept until 10 and then Chantal and I went shopping. I got my quarterly bonus from work the day before so we tried to knock off as much of our Christmas shopping as we could. We did a pretty good job, except for the nasty buffet of doom we had for supper.
Then it was off to PWA Fright Night 2007. It was nice that a lot of folks from work etc came out except for Jessica who apparently ran over some old womans dog on the way, I still need to hear that whole story.
The show was excellent, better then the night before. Casket match kicked ass, everyone in the cage was steller and Joe and AJ lit the place up. After the show it was Dennys time which my stomach disagreed with and then home to bed.
Sunday we decided to do some personal shopping which I always like. Chantal got a really nice necklace that she really loves and I got a 160 GB iPod classic which I am very excited about.
Currently the Flames have come back from a 3-0 deficit to tie Minnesota in the second and I am watching Game 1 of the World Series. The Red Sox look unstoppable.
There was more I wanted to write but as usual I forgot it all....

-Rey and Psicosis's stuff from ECW is good but its been released on so many commercial dvd's over the past few years its a bit overdone.
-I don't think I've ever seen this ECW match with Juvi. I'm disappointed with myself.
-Dean Malenko was so good. Never got the credit he deserved.
-Did WCW lose a load of money on those Hog/Road Wild pay per views? I'm sure no one paid to go to those shows.

The Rise and Fall and Rise and Fall of ECW
Follow the bouncing ball....
- WWE.com is running a story, which can be read here, where they explain that ECW GM Armando Estrada and acting Smackdown GM Vicky Guerrero are having negotiations which would lead to talent from Smackdown appearing on ECW and talent from ECW appearing on Smackdown. Smackdown and ECW already run joint house shows.
- The reason for this is that Sci-Fi is not committed to continuing to air the ECW show. In the best-case scenario they hope to make ECW more appealing to Sci-Fi so that they do pick the show up at the end of 2007. But if not, WWE is preparing themselves in case they lose the one hour on Sci-Fi and have to run the ECW brand as part of Smackdown. [Credit: F4wonline.com]
-As reported earlier, WWE has decided to start having ECW and Smackdown talent appear on both ECW and Smackdown starting soon. With ECW ratings dropping, WWE is hoping that having Smackdown talent appear on the show, as well as having ECW guys get more exposure on Smackdown, will improve ratings. -WWE has announced that all future episodes of ECW on Sci-Fi will now stream for free on WWE.com. This is obviously a sign that WWE is preparing for the possibility of losing the ECW timeslot on Sci-Fi Network. This, coupled with the decision to have Smackdown and ECW talent now appear on both shows, has many concerned about the future of the ECW brand.

I caught the end of the Flames game last night and I'm very glad I didn't watch the whole thing.They coughed up a 4-0 lead and lost in a shoot-out. As soon as overtime ended I knew we would lose. Kipper, as much as I love him, is weak 1 on 1. Its quite a liability as far as I'm concerned but I guess time will tell how much of a factor that will be. Anyway, it was junk.

Blah Blah Blah New Stuff
Where to start.... The trip to Calgary was fun. I met some relatives from Germany, we had some great food and I had a blast at the game. The overtime loss with 4 seconds was a bit of a heartbreaker but I still had a blast..... and I got a new hat!
Over the past few weeks Chantal and I have watched all 3 seasons of Degrassi Junior High in preparation of the release of Degrassi High today.... I can't wait to dig in to that one.
The Yankees bit it last night and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to say more but as ususal, my mind goes blank whenever I sit in front of the computer.

Shit!!
So the excercise in frustration that is the 2007-2008 Calgary Flames hockey season has begun. A loss to the Flyers isn't how I wanted things to start. Here's to a win Saturday vs. The Canuck-Fucks.
And speaking of that game, we are going to be in Calgary this weekend for Thanksgiving and a ticket fell in my lap thanks to my brother in law. It's gonna be fucking sweet.
Its a pretty fun time to be a sports fan, baseball playoffs are in full swing, hockey has started, the CFL is in the stretch drive. So much to watch and so little time.
I'm excited for that and for other things, wanna know? Ask me.

The disc closes with a 5.1 Surround Sound mix of the concert the collection was named for, IT'S ALIVE, filmed in the U.K. at London's Rainbow Theatre on December 31, 1977 - what more festive way to bop into the new year than with Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, Tommy, Marky, Richie, and C-Jay Ramone?
In between is '70s-era footage from an assortment of Ramones dates in Ann Arbor, MI, Austin TX, Chicago, IL, Cambridge, MA and other locales. Also featured is a 1977 performance for Don Kirshner's Rock Concert filmed in Los Angeles.
Disc Two kicks off with a 1978 full set from Musikladen - Bremen, Germany and spotlights other international dates in Argentina, Finland, Italy Spain and Sweden. Also featured are U.K. television performances including several tapings for the BBC2's acclaimed live music show The Old Grey Whistle Test as well as Top Of The Pops appearances from 1980 and 1995.
Disc Two's Stateside dates include shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as a 5.1 Surround Sound mix of their previously unreleased set at the US Festival in San Bernardino, CA in 1982. The set closes out IT'S ALIVE 1974-1996 with the Ramones' last-ever international performance, captured in Buenos Aires, Argentina as they bid Adiós with “I Wanna Be Sedated,” “R.A.M.O.N.E.S.” and “Blitzkrieg Bop.”
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, the Ramones rank #26 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list “The Immortals: The Fifty Greatest Artists Of All Time” (right in between Fats Domino and Nirvana). The world's first punk rock band, they formed in NYC in 1974 and were already on their third LP when the Sex Pistols spit out their first. Outlasting all who followed, The Ramones relentlessly delivered their signature (and catchy) chainsaw-level sound for over twenty years via a string of now-classic punk LPs and a phenomenal 2,263 concerts.

-I gotta tell ya, that belt looks good on Punk.-T shirt plug.... Ugh.

Sunday
It was with a heavy heart I watched the Jays lose today. Their season is now over, 4 games above 500. It wasn't supposed to end like this but they finished pretty strong and I'm already looking forward to next year. However, playoffs start right away and there is nothing like playoff baseball. (I can't believe the Mets choked, can't wait to hear Artie and Gary go at it tommorow....Apparently ECW will be getting a new injection of talent soon. I haven't seen a show since Punk won the belt, I have to burn them and check it out. Are they any good...? Grizz?
PWA was a lot of fun last night, matches were good and the crowd had fun. Look for the dvd.....

Things That Must Be Said
-The Office sucked last night. Almost shark jumping-worthy. If the new romantic storyline is going to ne Dwight and Angela then they are in trouble. And Michael Scott may be turning dangerously unlikeable.
-Silversun Pickups are coming and the only way to get tickets is through Sonic. Bullshit.
-Beer in the afternoon is good.
-New Hart Foundation on Smackdown is good.
-Joe and AJ in PWA is good.
-Other stuff was to be written but I forgot it all in the time it took me to walk down the stairs. Fuck.

I'm watching TNA Impact from last week, haven't watched an episode in a while. Where the fuck did Rikishi, Goldust, Matt Morgan and the WSX champ come from? Shit.....

Pictures & Shit
I realized I never posted any pictures from our vacation or the Karaoke Birthday Extravaganza or any of that shit, so here is some.....
The view atop Mt. Norquay was amazing.
Foothills Stadium, Vipers won, I had such a good time at the game.
This was at Karaoke, although you can't tell as someone is.... substantially blocking the view...
Phil and I rocked some Proclaimers, although I wentback and listened to it, I suck.
Our birthday cake courtesy of M. W-S. Half of it was awesome.
Someone couldn't quite handle the Ocean Motion despite proclaiming herself a thrill-seeker.
The main street in Banff was rippied up for contruction which bummed me out.
But it didn't stop me from enjoying a frosty beverage.
After all, discovering Alberta made me thirsty....
I did however have help, she is a sturdy rower.....

Tyler fixed the port forwarding on the desktop and the notebook and now the torrent are humming along quite nicely. I'm very happy.I am so behind in my wrestling again, it sucks. I have 3 (and soon to be 4) weeks of ECW tv, an episode of Dragon Gate infinity, the new ROH ppv and much more. Not to mention the throngs of tapes I have in the closet in the office.
Don't have to work until 8 tonight due to the stupid fucking midnight Halo launch.... It's cool though because the Jays have a day game at Yankee Stadium that just started.
Talked to Woody and Peter the other day and got some bad news. Paul, who played guitar in the last band that I was in here in Edmonton, passed away. If I remember correctly, he had a lot of issues with cancer many years ago including having a tumor removed from his head. He was an amazing guitar player. If I can find the cd I will upload a song or 2 so you can hear him play.
I'm done with pre-season bullshit, drop the puck already! And how could the Stamps lose to fucking Hamilton?? Bullshit.
If anything funny or interesting happens dureing this lame Halo bullshit, I will post it with the Blackberry. And speaking of blackberrys, Chantal had to get one for her new job which I find funny as hell.

So Dick won Big Brother.... I had a feeling Danielle wouldn't have the cakewalk that everyone figured.
The Oilers white jerseys look like practice jerseys... Did I say that already?
We have the kids this weekend which is always awesome.
New cd's:
The problem is, when I get a new cd it gets thrown on the ipod and I always shuffle songs on the ipod so I never really listen all the way through. Sometimes I miss the old discman days.
Saved By The Bell: Wedding in Vegas is on TBS right now, not a bad way to kill a couple of hours before work.
All out Halo 3 shit is arriving, I've never done a midnight launch before so I am a little nervous about it but I think it will be fun. Nerve racking but fun.
WWE released The Sandman, leaving Tommy as the only 'ECW Original' left from the failed experiment..... Oh yeah, I guess Balls is still there too. I'm 3 weeks behind. I just don't have the time to keep up on it all, stupid life.
Chris Crocker, best known for his YouTube plea to “leave Britney alone”, has signed with 44 Blue Productions. So far, the video has been watched by 8.3 million people, although he “had developed a large Net audience via numerous video performances posted on MySpace.com,” Variety reports. More Stuff
I may have hastily judged Xbox live a little. I played hockey with my brother yesterday afternoon and it was totally fun. I think because Shigs is queer and runs his Xbox wireslessly is why we had so much trouble the last time.
We were victorious at trivia last night, and I was introduced to the Dick Chicken, and now I am a better man.
Apparently The White Stripes have cancelled their remaining tour because Meg White is suffering from anxiety. Maybe she realized that she is useless and her band sucks.
The journey that is Big Brother ends tonight. I have a sinking feeling in my gut that Dick is going to win, but I'm probably nuts.
I'm fucking sick of Halo 3 and its not even the 25th yet.
